Bonus item! ...actually it's nice that someone has read this far ;-)

So...I did start out with the Canyon solution - the Long Bracket Frame Bag shown above. I don't have a photo of it on my bike, as my bag went AWOL due to a major flaw with that design! The bag is POORLY ATTACHED to the bracket by a not-very-grippy non-stretch strap. This means that even after cinching the strap down tightly, any settling of the bag contents due to trail vibration and the strap becomes loose. The bag can then ping off into the undergrowth unnoticed, as other than the strap it's only loosely hooked at one end onto the bracket. This happened twice for me, the first time I was lucky enough to notice quickly and went back to find it. I then stuck some inner tube to the bracket to try and improve the bag grip. No improvement though, and the second time there was no hope! Someone riding on the UK Mendip hills may find it one day, and be very happy.Other that this main flaw the bag is also TINY (volume is unpublished by Canyon, but approx 0.32L) so it's difficult-to-impossible to pack everything you need, even with minimalist kit. These issues drove me to design and make a better solution :-)
